Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data
Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information for student education and welfare are:
Legitimate interests – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:
Names and contact details of students are necessary in order to communicate with them about providing tuition and to be able to deliver the tuition itself either online or in person, and also to generate and deliver invoices and give feedback on progress. Names and contact details of parents / guardians may also be necessary for the same reasons if they are the ones arranging the tuition. The benefit is that tuition can be successfully arranged, delivered, invoiced, and the student can be updated on their progress. The benefits are greater than the possible risks because without this information it would not be possible for the student (including via their parents / guardians) to receive the tuition they are seeking and to benefit from the services provided.
